Ground Zero “Mosque”
Location: New York, New York
In 2010, with the announcement of the Mosque near ground zero there was divisions in the city and the country. Council of American Islamic Relationship brought us in to make a few compelling films.
With a very fast turn around, we flew into NYC, set-up a studio and spent the day interviewing people about religion, love, acceptance, and how they were impacted by 911. It was a powerful day filled with hope and beautiful people.
Winner: 2011 Gold Addy Award, PSA
A great article about the impact of the film: https://www.colorlines.com/articles/american-muslims-speak-out-911-happened-us-all
